Long live the feminist book revolution
The Feminist Book Fair was created by Julia Pietri , Pop'Féministe, founder of the Instagram account @Gangduclito & of the Better Call Julia editions , as part of the animation of the Merci Simone Club meetings which she launched in 2018.
The Merci Simone Club celebrates the diversity of feminism. This club offers to get out of the networks and meet for REAL, it aims to celebrate the diversity and vitality of contemporary Pop' feminist thought.
The Feminist book fair has existed since October 2021. It was created thanks to the legendary Women's bookstore and its entire team who hosted the first two editions of the show at the Espace des Femmes Antoinette Fouque, without forgetting the unwavering support of Élisabeth Nicoli, and Christine Villeneuve, President and co-director of the edition of Women Antoinette Fouque .
Building on this success, the book fair is expanding and will take place at Ground Control in Paris in 2024 for its third edition.
Julia Pietri wants to bring together more than thirty committed feminist publications, and more than 60 feminist authors to have the books signed. This day will celebrate the writings of Women with more than 3,000 works available on the stand of the famous Women's bookstore founded in 1981. A program will also be held all day to talk together about the world of books and feminism.
